I developed this instructional video to teach students how to use watercolor pencils. From the original first draft storyboard, this project has gone quite a long way- the initial concept was lacking in story, and missing many key filmmaking concepts. A suggestion I have for my future self is to consider JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) more when developing instructional design materials. As my goal with instructional design is to develop STEAM resources designed for students of all backgrounds, diversity and inclusion are two very important considerations to make when creating my videos. I want to further emphasize how everyone's mermaid can be unique, just as they are unique! In the future, I want to be sure to keep this in mind when developing my work!
